We are a registered public charitable Trust in Mysuru, Karnataka. Our purpose is to make education more accessible and help students in need build a future of their own.

The Trust’s charitable work includes scholarships, support for students across schools and colleges, and free books, uniforms and food for students in need. Gayathri Higher Primary School is one part of this work.
We are a privately run charitable organisation. Our funds serve educational welfare and charitable purposes.
Our purpose is simple.
Help a student stay in education. Remove a practical barrier. Make opportunity easier to reach.

Community roots, school history and Trust registration are different milestones. Each has its place in our story.
1982
A community beginning
The Trust’s published history records the formation of Gayathri Education Society on 20 March 1982. Aijaz Ahmed personally reached out to families, beginning with about 50 children.
1983
A school takes shape
The school’s own history dates its establishment to 1983. Beginning in a small rented building, it grew through the founder’s savings and the community’s commitment.
2014
The public charitable Trust
The registered 2017 codicil refers to the original Trust deed dated 1 February 2014, registered as Document No. 298 of 2014, Book IV, at the Sub Registrar, Mysore East.
2017
A wider charitable purpose
The codicil dated 15 July 2017 records the name Gayathripuram Educational & Charitable Trust and broadens its charitable objects.
2019
NGO DARPAN registration
The Trust registered on NITI Aayog’s NGO DARPAN on 8 January 2019. Its unique ID is KA/2019/0223206.

A belief put into action.
The son of an ex-military serviceman, Aijaz Ahmed saw children in Gayathripuram without a local school and began teaching them. He started in a rented building, buying benches and teaching materials from his own savings.
The school’s history describes years of personal commitment, gradual expansion and support for teachers from disadvantaged backgrounds. That spirit of practical service continues to shape the Trust.
